Don Brooks

SPORTIVA AMBASSADOR

Donald Brooks

Donald Brooks, Sportiva Events Ambassador & the best Age Group Triathlete in the country!

Donald became our first Sportiva Events Ambassador back in 2019. Don is undefeated at Sportiva Events triathlons & duathlons and has won a remarkable twenty six Sportiva Events in total. However it’s his National & International achievements that really put him on the map.

Don undoubtedly has talent & we’re not the only people to have wondered what he might have achieved at elite level. if he’d started triathlon in this teens instead of his thirties. However you only need to start following Don on Strava to see how much work he puts into staying at the top of his game. It’s not unusual for him to ride the 14 miles from Teignmouth to take part in one of our Torbay Velopark events, win it, and then ride home afterwards. But what really takes your breath away is when you see he’s swum 3000m the following morning as part of his, self-coached, training programme.
Don also has impressive attention to detail. If you talk to him about his nutrition for iron distance events, for example, you’ll realise there’s nothing random about it. It’s all very carefully planned & measured.
Despite his success Don remains very approachable and is always ready to help other athletes (& race organisers) with suggestions & advice.

Below are some of his key results, which include:
–  9 x Age Group World Championship titles
– 12 x Age Group European Championship titles
–  20 x Age Group British Championship titles
