Dark Dart Dash

Overview

The Dark Dart Dash returns for 2026.  We’ve teamed up with the Green Table Cafe who will be hosting registration & offering their excellent pizzas, hot drinks & a bar after you finish. This event is also helping to raise funds for a new playground at Dartington Hall.

There are 10K & 5K single lap courses plus kids races for children aged 3-11. We’ve also added canicross (run with your dog options) that start just after the individual races.

The Dark Dart Dash was one of the first races we ever organised back in Dec 2014. After a few years off it’s back. We’ve teamed up with the Green Table Cafe who will be hosting registration & offering their excellent pizzas, hot drinks & a bar after you finish. This event is also helping to raise funds for a new children’s playground at Dartington Hall.

There are 10K & 5K single lap courses plus kids races for children aged 3-11. We’ve also added canicross (run with your dog options) that start just after the individual races.

The courses are on mixed terrain including gravel, grass, a little bit of tarmac and, sometimes, plenty of mud. For the kids there’s a 1K for ages 3-8yrs and a 2K for children aged 8-11. All parents are welcome to run with their kids in either race for no additional charge. We are also allowing younger children, 8 and above, to take part in the 5K but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Head torches or chest torches will be needed and make sure you have a good one. Better quality torches have a stronger, wider beam & make it much easier to see the markers.

Trail shoes are strongly recommended. There is plenty of parking and for 2026 it’s free for all competitors provided you arrive after 4pm.
