Overview

Returning for 2027, we are delighted to host the Flapjack 5k running race at Torbay Velopark. A perfect flat route for a PB as it’s all on flat, smooth tarmac!

This race uses a brand new officially measured course (26/025) that makes the most of the tarmac path that Torbay Council recently laid. You start with two laps of the Velopark. Then it’s out and back using the smoothest, flattest tarmac you’ll find this side of the channel, to the same finish line we’re using for the Donut Duathlon.

Parking

There is plenty of parking in the Leisure Centre car park but you do need to pay for it!

We’ve made a special arrangement with Torbay Council so that you will pay a maximum of £5.30 to park for the day. Just pay £5.30 at the machines or app & then collect a voucher from reception in the Leisure Centre which must be displayed on your windscreen.

Please note some of the council parking attendants are a little over-zealous. So make sure a bike rack, if fitted, is not overhanging the end of the parking bay or you may get a ticket.

Medals & awards

There is a medal for all finishers.

In addition we have podium medals for the Top 3 overall in each of the following categories.
Please note we operate a one prize per person policy. So if a vet is the overall winner they will get that medal & prize & the other Vet 40s will move up one place.

Sprint Awards: Top 3 overall, Top 3 Vet 40 male & female, Top 3 Vet 50 male & female, Top 60 Top 3 male & female.
Tristar categories: Top 3 boys & girls in each category. We also award special medals to Top 3 novices in the 8-10 age group & in the 11-14 age group.
