Overview

Roadford Lake is such a superb triathlon venue that we’ve added a second Autumn date. We’re also running our first ever ironman distance (aka full distance or 140.6) Triathlon!

It’s a great swimming venue with quiet rolling roads for the bike course & a cracking run too. There’s lakeside camping available but it sells out fast so early booking advised.

You start with a swim in the lake, where swimming is not normally permitted. Then it’s onto the quiet local roads for the one or two lap bike leg. Finally it’s a one or two lap run mainly on gravel paths for the Sprint & Standard triathlons. Our 70.3 & 140.6 distance triathlons are running two or four laps of a new 10.5K running lap. It starts the same way as the shorter lap but adds a big tarmac loop on very quiet lanes.

Team Relay is also available for the Standard distance.  Each team member normally takes on one of the disciplines & then the timing chip is handed on in the transition area.
