Blackpool Sands Beach, Dartmouth, TQ6 0RG
Now in it’s fourth year, this sprint distance triathlon event offers a stunning course starting and finishing at Blackpool Sands beach. It’s a challenging course with some climbs but also flat sections on both the run and the bike where you can really put the hammer down.
The race begins with a sea swim from Blackpool Sands which is naturally sheltered.
Because of the recent storm damage to the road at Slapton which will not be repaired by June we are using a modified bike route for 2018.. CLICK HERE to preview it.
You finish with a four lap 5K run (or two laps for Supersprint). The run lanes are completely taped off so you’ll be able to run at least 2 abreast on virtually the whole course. We’re taking out the tricky cross-country section down to the beach for this year and also moving the start/finish so it’s next to transition ensuring 4 complete 1.25K laps for the run.
Our Super Sprint triathlon is ideal for novices or those who are daunted by a 750 metre sea swim. You get to enjoy the full bike course but a shorter run and a shorter swim.
