After seven years the Dartington Duathlon is relocating to Woodbury Common with a new name: the Devon Duathlon.
Dartington Hall decided they could no longer allow the event due to Covid, staff shortages etc. However we’re pleased to say we think we’ve found a better course close to Exeter! It has the considerable advantage that runners & cyclists never need to cross and the parking is free. The roads are also quieter with the extra advantage that we’re not sending cyclists out & back on the same section of road (as sometimes caused issues on the road to Marley Head in the Dartington Duathlon)
The standard distance duathlon begins with a 10 km 2 lap run on tarmac & gravel paths. The bike leg is 42 km and is two laps of our 22km sprint distance bike course on rolling roads. The Standard duathlon finishes with a final lap of the 5K run or it’s an out and back 2.5K run for the Sprint.
All duathlons are non-drafting & run in accordance with the British Triathlon Federation rules. Please see our RACE MANUAL for all the details about the event.
Individual athletes compete under their respective age and gender category. Relay Teams compete against each other as an open category (mixed age & gender). Medals and prizes are awarded for winners within each of the categories.
